I watched the film 'Out of the past' late last night, Film noir movies always inspire me to take images. I love the 1940/50's style of film making. I think my love for this era comes from looking at old photographs, especially the images from my grandparents wedding album, that used to fascinate me for ages as a kid.
It annoys me when this beautiful style of imagery is cheapened by portrait photographers who give a bald man a gun and take his picture in black and white and call themselves "film noir photographers" (http://www.lafterhall.com/film_noir_gallery_1.html) But then maybe I'm just bitter that they are making money out of a style of photography that i would kill to make?
